I teach Philosophy or Religious Education to any level, GCSE, A-Level, or University. I also have experience helping to write CVs and giving guidance on interview practice. I'll make sure that before we start any tutoring, I understand what you want to get out of it, whether it is to get better at writing, to be taught a part of the course, to achieve higher grades, or anything else you think of.
I have the ability to help with any level of education and am more than happy to acommodate to your needs. I structure my lessons around the people I meet, however generally I will start with the history of philosophy and work into the modern world.
My approach to tutoring is to base classes on individual needs which are always discussed with and approved by the student. I find this way of working leads to a clearer understanding and often an immediate improvement in student grades.
I base my classes on a simple approach - content, revision of content, and then a round up of the lesson. I intend my lessons to be to the point and engaging, helping students learn what they need to know before they get bored. I make my lessons relatable to the every day to help students understand them far better.
My tutoring is a powerful tool to pass exams and succeed. I can help you fully understand your subject through affordable online or face to face tutorial services. My core competencies is people centred teaching, which involves a step by step dialogue process. I have solid experience in conducting lessons as a tutor, lecturer and through distance teaching.
My teaching method is very much tailored to the aims, requirements and preferences of my students. Everybody has their own style of learning which suits them best and it is important for me to discover what this is for each individual, so that they can be comfortable, engaged and make progress.
My teaching method will be suited to whomever I am teaching, primarily focusing on what areas they wish to improve on as well as covering the basics. Starting off we will gain a firm understanding of the material, which will then lead onto apply the content to exam-style questions.
My teaching method is built around encouraging the pupils to develop their own ideas around a topic. Lessons will provide them with some of the evidence. In some sessions they will be given a source from the period, find key details and discuss its importance.
My Teaching method is explaining on a clear level to grasp the understanding of the topic area they are struggling to find out exactly what part they are having trouble on and improve them from that. Get them back to speed.
I have a PhD, MPhil and BSc. I am friendly, encouraging, patient and, most importantly, I know how to impart knowledge. Everyone learns differently so I tailor my services to each individual. Above all, I make learning interesting.
I like to discuss and make documents in easy to read, down to earth ways. I like to talk comfortably to people and give examples. Simply complex things.
My teaching method is based on immense reading and in depth textual analysis to provide a why rather than just a what.
My teaching method will be nourishing, and democratic. Allowing the student to learn through exploring and discovery. I have three teaching styles which can be selected as and when the student needs and we both best see fit. I'm currently a Philosophy student studying Philosophy at degree level.
Hard working, enthusiastic educator and communicator. PhD in History, Celta qualified language teacher. Several decades experience in a variety of other tutoring. I have experience with teaching children. In 2012 I won an award for coaching teenage footballers.
I truly believe that the best approach to securing top marks in the humanities is by gaining a comprehensive understanding of the topic in question. Narrow-focused essay writing can often be redundant if there is not a pre-exisiting knowledge of the topic.
Philosophy is a subject like no other, requiring analytical thought and strong essay writing skills. Lessons would be largely discussion based; talking through the topics and arguments in question, evaluating arguments and proposing counterarguments, and I would also mark written work and help students improve their essay skills, since philosophy essays are vastly different to other styles.
