I like to ensure everything required is covered. And go by what the person I am working with is finding difficult, helping to find rhymes and methods to help understand the topic. I work with memory aids and past papers.
I am a 17 year old girl and currently study at St Dominic's Grammar School and have just completed my AS levels and have 10 GCSEs majority As and A*s and 1 B in religion. I have three AS levels with an A in CCEA Mathematics, C in Chemistry, and a C in Physics. Whilst studying my A-levels I improved my time management skills and can work well under pressure and with on the spot tasks.
I just finished A levels and will teach students studying maths up to GCSE aswell as GCSE further maths students. While tutoring we will identify weak points and work on them. I like to incorporate practice questions in my teaching aswell as explanation of methods. I allow students to attempt questions to the best of their ability before intervening.
I feel the best way to teach maths is by repetition. this is because understanding the topic is the key to succeeding in it, and the best way to do this is to use the material to prepare, and practice.
Throughout my time at university, I came to understand that I retained the subject matter more efficiently when my lecturers took in to consideration the needs of their students. They encouraged my classmates and me to ask questions. This is how we learn. I would like my students to do the same. Ask as many questions as you like.
As a Postgraduate student in Aerospace Engineering, having a strong knowledge and background in Physics and Maths, i am willing to help students who are struggling in these two fields to get a better grasp at these two materials and eventually get good results
Personally, I prefer teaching by helping students understand the fundamental connections between different parts of maths and physics, thus helping them gain a holistic understanding of the content covered. To that end, I personally design plans for each student in order to help them understand the content better.
In teaching I take the approach of forming a thorough and intuitive understanding of basic principles, using this as a basis from which more complex concepts are subsequently derived. I like to emphasise learning by application, using problems to practice and explore the material learned.
I am a recent Physics graduate and currently doing my TEFL course so that I can move to Japan next year as an English teacher. I can teach Physics and math up to a high level and mold the lessons to suit your needs. These can be in person or Online, the same goes for English lessons.
I am third year Physics with Astrophysics student at Queen's University, Belfast. I tutor students in any year at Secondary School, particularly at GCSE, AS and A2 level. I will assess your current level of working and tailor our lessons to suit both your learning needs and the criteria laid down by the examination awarding bodies.
My name is Jayne, I am 24 and studied Electrical Engineering with a year of Computer Science. Math and Electronics can be simple! When there is only one right answer, finding the solution is a method that can be tailored to each individual and that is my approach to tutoring.
Hi, I am looking to get into tutoring around Belfast in A-level/ GCSE physics or mathematical mechanics for A-level, or CGSE mathematics. I am also open to tutoring younger students. I would wish to follow an exam syllabus to ensure good grades can be achieved, but also focus on ensuring the understanding and consolation of increasingly complex ideas.
I value flexibility and effort above all things and so am very open to adapting my teaching method to suit a students needs or desires. That said, in my experience, the best way to learn math is to do lots and lots of math, so students should expect most lessons to contain a lot of worked examples and practice questions.
I used to take class for students in university . Especially science in technology and application . I feel so proud to give knowledge to those who are in need of it . I wish to teach the kids the most, because they are the ones who need it most .
For maths and physics, Questions and examples are your best friend. I explain a method to my students and talk them through how I would approach a question, then ask them to do the same for me.
I aim to rebuild a student's confidence in their chosen STEM subject with one-on-one tuition tailored to their specific educational needs. During my tutoring sessions, I will often be filling in background information on a topic that a student may have missed, offering different explanations for key concepts, and encouraging repeated practice of a subject.
Hello, I am a recent Astrophysics graduate from Queens University Belfast and I want to help you with GCSE and A-level Mathematics and Physics in a relaxed and manageable way, tailored to the needs of each student. Before my degree I struggled with both subjects so I'm very familliar with how daunting maths and physics can be particularly when a deadline is approaching.
According to me clearing topics or goal of subjects to student is very important . First tell students what we are going to learn and then explain concepts , basics of that subject. Explaining with examples is very important to clear doubts. I like questioning students to check his/her understanding of subjects. I believe in dedication and teaching them with kindness.
Very student focused with individual direct monitoring, modeling, step by step practice, and assessment. Specific exam preparation using past exams.
My teaching method is focused on the student understanding the base principles and relating them to the world environment and industrial application. I can help with GCSE level life sciences and up to beech level maths and computing. Please get in touch for a free assessment and discounted rates.
I understand that different subjects, and indeed topics within a subject require different mechanisms for learning.
Although may look like old method, I consider my lessons attractive and most of all efficient. I will always encourage my students to ask, to search and find new ways to solve the problems and from my point of view, every lesson should be structured on the following questions: 1. What my student knows before this lesson? 2. What is his/her objective/goal after this lesson? 3.
My teaching methodology is basically an engineer’s approach; identifying the problem that each individual student has, and finding the solution by strengthening that area through careful explanation or further practice. This way each student has a tailored experience rather than a general overview of the course, as they would in school.
Math's is fun right? :-) Well it can be when you understand it better. My name is Tian and I enjoy Maths and love to share my knowledge with other people. I am starting my A levels after the summer break and would love to spend time giving extra lessons in maths to all ages of kids from primary school up to GCSE levels.
I like to begin by having a preliminary chat to discuss what areas you are having issues with. This helps me to plan tutoring sessions based on your needs. I will prepare problems based upon the preliminary chat and go through them with you and provide you with similar problems to try on your own. These can be sent to me at anytime and I will provide you with feedback at our next session.
