Adopting the same teaching methods as used by my tutor over the years, I aim to present the information in a clear, concise and methodical way- with a primary focus on exam technique. I found the key to doing well in an exam is by adopting a clear method to solve problems, and furthermore understanding the principles behind the methods used.
My teaching methodology depends to fully understand the subject employing paper work, presentation coursework and research depend on the students number. The teaching mythology depends on the level and background acknowledgement of the students. I am flexible and creative.
My name is Jacob Hubbard I have completed A levels in physics and biology. I have A in both these subjects along with A* in all my science GCSE's I'm currently going to university to study astrophysics and as having recently completed my education I am familiar with the current GCSE and A level specifications and layout.
My method relies on helping the confidence of the student and making students feel understood and comfortable. Maths pr Physics can be difficult to deal with mostly because students feel powerless! I try to understand where the lacks of information is in the previous experiences and start from there.
My lessons are tailored around the students, as I believe we all learn differently. I can approach subjects from almost any angle to make it fun, enjoyable and most importantly understandable to the student. I have endless patience with people who struggle with a topic.
Hello there. I'm Ben, and I received a first class MChem degree and then a PhD in Chemistry from Oxford. I'll tutor students in West Cornwall in all science subjects (GCSE/A level). I've got a great degree of subject knowledge, and I'm happy to tailor lessons to suit your needs (for example, focussing on what you find most difficult).
From my own education and tutoring my 3 younger sisters I have found that many students learn differently. The key I believe is finding how an individuals learning can be adapted to enjoy the subject, as a student who enjoys something will always learn better.
I find the best way to learn content will be through understanding principles and them applying them to questions because, ultimately, you will be taking an exam. By practicing questions and finding out how the examiner wants you to answer questions, i.e using the marking criteria, you will achieve much greater marks in your exam and get a better grade.
