For me, learning is a collaborative process. The teacher does not just 'give' knowledge to students, but the learning happens in the interaction between student and teacher.
I have found that the reason many students fail to understand a topic is due to incorrect teaching methods. I believe that each individual learns in their own unique way. Hence as a tutor I first determine what works for each of the students and plan the teaching to match each individual`s learning style.

Sitting and listening to a teacher babble on in a mono-tone voice is NOT fun. When it comes to teaching, I prefer an active and engaging approach where the student and tutor work together. There's no point in rushing through everything or just covering basic knowledge if the student isn't confident or completely understanding.
I believe learning should be interactive and enjoyable. I listen to the needs of my students and work around that. I can help students prepare for exams or just improve their understanding of Psychology. I will tailor each lesson specific to the individual for personalised learning.
