I am an aspiring Psychologist and would like to share my knowledge and passion for the subject with others. At AS Level, I achieved A* in Psychology and an A in Sociology - currently, with four months left, my predictions are the exact same.
I am helping students to achieve the best results in their exams, assignments and dissertations offering a guidance and the knowledge and understanding I have. I am patient and understanding, I can teach students with a little knowledge and also guide those who have advanced assignments and research designs.
I am an archaeology student at the university of York, one of the most prestigious in the country. I am capable of teaching about almost area of history and I am happy to teach anyone of primary school age to 16 years old. I have 11 GCSEs from A*-C and I achieved A* in history.
I believe in every student gaining clarity in fundamental concepts before proceeding to more specific cases. I tailor my classes to student needs and enjoy interactive and enthusiastic students. After going over the syllabus, I will come up with a weekly structure that will involve both discussions as well as written exercises to substantially train students in their chosen study area.
I am an MSc Cognitive neuroscience student at UCL, I have a degree in Psychology and have more than 3 years experience in working with students from KS3-KS5. A typical lesson with me consists of 3 steps. A starter test to assess initial knowledge, which is usually a past paper on the topic that will be covered in the lesson.
I give one-on-one lessons for most of the time, but I can also tutor small groups with the same level of care. I wish to provoke a discussion rather than lecture alone, and try and encourage answers rather than to simply give them to the student, so they are able to perform as such in the exam.
I'm an A2 student studying AQA sociology and AQA psychology. I received an A in both for AS. My lessons will be for AS level students or anyone going into AS. I will be innovative with the study styles of the lessons and will aim to keep you interested in the subject.
Past tutoring experience has provided me with the ability to cater to the unique learning styles of individual students whilst ensuring that that lessons are as efficient as possible with the use of lesson plans.
I take a hands-off calm approach to teaching, giving you the information, intellect and technique to teach yourself how to succeed in history. Fellows in College have praised me on my listening and patient nature and my want to help them. I will give you the skills needed to succeed in history.
My teaching method is to adapt to the student. Everyone learns in different ways. I firstly establish how best the student learns information and capitalise on this in order to ensure full comprehension of topics. I am friendly and approachable and will answer any queries to the best of my ability. Lessons will take the direction which will best help the student and tailored to their needs.
I have been a teacher for over ten years and my passion is to help students not only become great achievers academically but learn to find their confidence in an educational system that can be challenging! I focus on just want is needed for examinations and am an examiner for AQA, so am well versed in what examiners are really looking for as mark schemes are often vague and unhelpful.
I started teaching English in 1994. From 1998 I have been heavily involved in teacher education and teacher training which means that I have a vast amount of experience to tap into. I have worked with children as young as four years old and supported adults through GCSES and Undergraduate degrees. I am a published academic. My articles can be found on Google Scholar.
My teaching method is simple. I first take a test of the students to understand which areas they need more help with and then start working on those topic each one at a time. I make sure that my students have fully understood a lesson or a topic by conducting mini tests at the end of each session.
My teaching method is outlining a pupils strengths and weaknesses in the subject. I will then focus on the weaker modules and complete them topic by topic. Focusing on the difficult modules improves the students confidence in the subject as a whole.
I work hard to understand my students’ interests, strengths, and abilities so that I can form a strong, functional relationship with them. I am kind and friendly, as I like my students to feel comfortable enough to ask me questions and approach me if they feel hesitant or are struggling with a particular topic or concept.
I teach with love and passion. I will use techniques that will guarantee that you will learn the material in the most effective way.
For me, learning is a collaborative process. The teacher does not just 'give' knowledge to students, but the learning happens in the interaction between student and teacher.
I have done classroom based teaching for many years. Also Lectures to up to 180 students at University level. I have taught all levels in psychology from GCSE up to Masters modules. I like to use an eclectic approach, mixing Q&A, discussion and an informative and informal style.
I like to start off looking at basic content required for a topic as those basic units tend to create the bigger aspects of a topic. I teach A Level psychology students. My techniques involve practising essays (as they’re worth 16 marks in a paper) , developing acronyms or phrases to help remember key pieces of information etc.
My teaching method is based on building a personal relationship with the student and creating personalised classes that are tailored to their strengths and weaknesses.
I am a friendly, very approachable, supportive individual who has a BSc (1st class) Hons and MSc (distinction in Psychology. I can teach from secondary school up to & including degree level for Psychology. Lesson will last for 1 hour and consist of explaining and discussing the subject topic online, with power-points.
I would approach each topic by gauging how much my student already knows about the given topic and assessing how comfortable they seem with it in order to determine the pace of teaching I should move forward with. I aim for the student to be as actively engaged in a topic as possible.
I have found that the reason many students fail to understand a topic is due to incorrect teaching methods. I believe that each individual learns in their own unique way. Hence as a tutor I first determine what works for each of the students and plan the teaching to match each individual`s learning style.
I tutor using a variety of methods: discussion, presentation, video and analysis of case-reports. I typically tutor on a 1:1 basis but am open to tutoring 2 people at a time. I tutor at your home unless a neutral location is preferred.
First of all I will ascertain my tutee's goals and at what stage they are at already. I will then work collaboratively with them to create suitable tasks to undertake and goals to work towards. With my background in psychology I have a great understanding of learning processes and memory aids / revision methods and am keen to utilise these.

I believe that anyone can learn anything if it's taught in a way that is right for them. My teaching style first aims to learn how YOU learn to discover the best way for your to remember things in a fun and friendly environment.
