Hello, My name is Sue Poskitt and I am a qualified Early Years/Primary Teacher. I believe that learning should be fun, thus use a variety of activities in my teaching. All lessons are planned for individual pupils, to ensure personalised learning.
I aim to make lessons as engaging as possible through the use of interactive games, physical activities, open discussion and ICT. I get very enthusiastic about teaching and I like my lessons to be high-energy too. I encourage my students to be as passionate about the subject as I am.
I'm looking to tutor students doing GCSEs or any grade below.I always try and adapt my teaching style according to the student and the longest my sessions could last would be two hours. It's important for me that learning is fun and interesting for the student so I try to make it so when teaching.
I have a great passion for learning and education. I make each and every lesson fun, interactive and engaging. Each child has their own learning style and they are unique, therefore, I adapt to each child’s needs/learning style to ensure they achieve 110% out of each and every lesson.
During the first 20 minutes of the lesson I go through basic ideas and the rest of the hour is to practice questions to apply .I concentrate on student ability to engage during the lesson to ask questions.
I am a qualified teacher with experience across the primary phase. I believe in structured learning to achieve the desired outcome. Working in education for 11 years has equipped me with the skills for teaching reading, writing, maths and foundation subjects in an inductive way. I believe that it is important to tailor the curriculum in order for it to meet the needs of each individual student.
I am a second year university student looking to teach high school children. In my lessons I aim to teach each student the required material but also to give them the skills to think for themselves and form their own ideas and interpretations of a text, a skill that will become increasingly important as they progress throughout the school system.
I like to teach one on one lessons or small groups in order to offer more individual attention. I also like to establish what my student wishes to improve on and then build from there on wards. I am also quite flexible with the preferred learning methods of my students.
I base my teaching on understanding. My only interest is that the student understands my tutoring. I carry each lesson with the highest level of professionalism. Unless instructed otherwise, I cover lesson after lesson, in a manner that connects one lesson with the next. I am calm, understanding, open to criticism and opinions and ready to take on any challenge.
My teaching method will be catered to your ability and how you want to learn. If you find it easier learning by repetition, writing, listening or speaking, we’ll work together to help you get to the level you want to be.
I tailor classes to individual students, depending on their needs. I have experience working with primary school aged children, as I completed work experience at a primary school, and I have also mentored GCSE students in their classrooms and encouraged them to participate in the class work.
I'm a university student, in her final year, studying to gain her degree in English and History. I am offering to give lessons to students who are in primary and secondary school, who require a little guidance to be able to achieve the best they can. I aim to help by gaining an understanding of what the individual is learning at school and what they think they need more help with to excel.
My name is Sanna and I am a private french tutor. Thanks for contacting me. I would be happy to assist your daughter. I`m a Private French Tutor since March 2014, I have worked with many students preparing for their GCSE, A Level and undergraduate exams.
(All ages and abilities welcome!) As a university student, I understand that learning one-to-one is important. Each of my students therefore receives a personalised study pack, adapted to each student's needs and requests- whether it be for literature, language, or exam preparation skills.
Back to Basics. I believe that somewhere down the learning line that a link may have been missed and that by going back beyond their present ability builds confidence to approach the more difficult learning that they currently struggle with. This scaffolding approach has been tried, tested and proven to work.
Media and PR play a pivotal role in our everyday lives, they shape how we live and view the world. I am passionate Media and PR person. I am also currently working in the field for a well known university. I teach English and key aspects of Media and PR and currently studying for a Masters in the field myself.
I want my lessons to be useful and helpful,so I teach what you think is most important for your educational development. But be warned! Even though you are in contro of your studiesl, I will have some input in the direction we need to go. But we'll make that decision together. I am a relaxed and friendly tutor with prior tutoring experience and an upcoming CELTA qualification.
My teaching method is not the average boring teaching techniques but through an interactive and fun innovative way where the student are fully engaged throughout the session, this will help them not only learn in a fast paced manner but enjoy the subject. When a subject becomes fun they will automatically do well, my priority is to make them understand and have fun at the same time.
My teaching method is one of patience and understanding for all students, regardless of their abilities. Having been a student of these subjects not too long ago, I can remember the experience of learning well, and am able to adapt to the specific needs of each student.
I have tutored mostly a-level and GCSE students. In preparation for my lessons, I expect my students to have an idea of what they want covering. A good proportion of my time is first dedicated to getting to know student's strengths and weaknesses. From there we try and build a framework of what we want to achieve over the time we have together - setting realistic goals and deadlines.
Hello I am Aaliyah Effs. I will be teaching English lessons to children in middle school and high school.
I am a university student currently studying Business and Human Resource Management in the East Midlands. I have studied English language and literature at A level. Although my course is Business orientated, my strengths are in academic writing and literacy. I provide lessons to students at GCSE and A level.
I teach Key Stage 3, and GCSE students, between the ages of 11 to 16. I teach according to the wishes of the students. I follow the revision guides, and go through the topics in which the students are struggling with. Nearer to the exams we go through past papers so the students are familiar with exams.
My teaching method is one on one and I will work on the given texts with the student to make sure they have a full understanding of them.
I feel confident tutoring all abilities from primary school to degree level. For me, it is important that the student looks forward to our sessions and feels engaged. I do this by ensuring a variety of learning techniques are used and a comfortable atmosphere is created where the occasional joke is appreciated.
My teaching methodology is constructive to gain the best results from students, allowing both their ability and passion to grow. The most essential way to achieve and understand English is to enjoy it at the same time! My main teaching focus is English Literature however I am also happy to tutor English Language.
Struggling with English at school? I'm here to help! I'll make sure you get the most out of your learning by making lessons fun and engaging. I'm an easy going person who always makes sure I get the best out of my students.
My teaching method always varies for each student, as every student has different academic abilities and preferred learning/teaching methods (one student may benefit from learning via visual notes e.g. mind maps, whereas another student may prefer learning though making detailed essay plans). For each topic being taught, I always provide the student with personalised notes, tips and tricks.
My teaching method is adapted to each individual student I have. I am able to liaise with my student and work out an approachable way to help my student obtain the information and knowledge being learnt at their own pace which they feel comfortable with.
