My name is Gabby and I am currently studying for a PhD in Leisure Studies at Leeds Beckett University. I have an extensive background in sociology having taught at GCSE Level, AS Level, A-Level and Undergraduate level.
Whilst drawing upon my psychological methods of learning styles I always take an individual approach. I'll get to know you and your learning style whilst thinking about your learning needs, setting achievable goals to work towards and review regularly.
I am studying BA Geography at the University of Leeds. I did GCSE and A level WJEC Geography. I have resources and essay examples for multiple topics including Development, Coasts, Sustainability, Climate Change, Settlements, Natural Hazards, Population, River Processes and Tectonics. I find in order to learn a topic the student much understand it well enough to describe it simply.
I am willing to give lessons to anyone who needs them, no matter what level. I tend to base lessons around assessing what someone knows and doesn't know and progressing from there. Progression can be made via information being taught through use of videos, explanations and online sources and then can be assessed via testing new knowledge.
When teaching in school, I ensure that I can cover all of the subject content needed for the exam, whilst making sure that I can dedicate specific time to exam/essay technique. I set tasks for pupils to do independently, but will always make sure that the task is completely understood, and recap what the pupil has learned in the next lesson.
My style of teaching would mainly consist of doing 1-1 sessions as I believe are more effective and easy to transfer knowledge. I will include chilled out lessons (fully education, e.g. quiz and challenges relating to the topic) as I believe these are needed aside of the workload to ease of stress.
Undergraduate student in my first year at the university of Leeds studying history + sociology looking to teach younger students while studying in order to transfer knowledge, inspire and have fun teaching able students who are interested in learning new things or to simply help in the run up to gcse exams etc.
I'm a first year philosophy student at the University of Leeds and aim to teach those in need of support in RE from GCSE to A Level, which includes philosophy, theology and ethics. My techniques focus on finding the perfect revision method to fit your needs and your interests in the topic or outside of it.
In 2015 I graduated from a Sociology degree and more recently I took up a Masters in Contemporary Art. My interests vary and expand across the disciplines. My tutorials would be organized around critical and analytical discussions on themes and subjects of interest to my students that deal with contemporary or classical social debates.

The nature of my degrees have meant i am familiar with interdisciplinary studies and can apply a variety of theoretical perspectives to real life scenarios. My techniques are very specialised to the individual and take into account different learning styles.

Hello! As an experienced individual tutor with a top class degree from the University of Leeds, I am here to help you nail those GCSE / A Level exams with ease. Expect personalised, fun, involved and informative lessons with Evie.
Anything you require, whether it is answering questions, helping with essays or assignments, or a general introduction. I have a BA Honors in International Relations as well as a MA in Security, Terrorism and Insurgency. I also have knowledge in Sociology, History and Politics.
Learning should not be a chore, it should be fun and interesting and done in a way that students can apply to their everyday life. I would be there to support and guide the student to develop their skills. I am happy to adapt my teaching skills to fit any student however my preferred method would be using lots of visuals.
My teaching method is to work with what students are most struggling on in order for them to improve. I am looking to teach either GSCE or A-Level students in their studies. I will also use a structured lesson plan to ensure that the lessons are organised.
