I am a young dynamic teacher who believes you have to give a meaning to the language. I prefer to teach Spanish through practicality, combining vocabulary, cohesion and comprehension in a whole that will give children a solid language background.
Sessions will be completely tailored to the student's needs. I am able to assist from KS3, GCSE, A-Levels, IB Diploma and Undergraduate Level. My lessons are engaging, often using dynamic techniques that offer a creative and imaginative way of accessing the materials: music, role-play, drama, memory techniques.
I tailor the lessons to the individual student's requirements. I start by helping out with any outstanding homework or difficulties found in Spanish lessons at school. Then we cover relevant grammar, vocabulary, topic knowledge and comprehension, always using varied resources according to their level.
As a consequence of having just graduated, I am full of innovative ideas and motivational techniques. From my point of view, learning has to be something fun, useful and practical, and always using appealing materials to learn. This is why I consider that my methodology is more aimed at Pre-school and Primary children.
I addap my teaching methodology to the necessities of each children. My name is Javier Martin, +(concealed information)5, email (concealed information) .

Depending on the level of Spanish, I tend to give a test to any beginner that wants to be tutored by me. I then slowly test your abilities in terms of comprehension, vocabulary, reading, writing, listening.
Generally, I approach each topic by discussing about it, followed by a series of written exercises, reading and vocabulary games (depending on age). Homework is optional. However, I have also had speaking only tutoring over a cup of coffee! I am flexible and can tailor lessons to suit each student.
Having achieved an A* at Spanish GCSE and wishing to study the language at a higher level in the future, I'd love to help students from beginners/primary school level up to GCSE standard, developing both their skills and confidence.

We use the book "Pasos" Book and Workbook. We start with vocabulary, pronuciation and understanding. After we do conversation, grammar and a lot of written and oral practice. The classes are fun and dynamic. Children have two activities on their lessons. First one is cooking. They prepare easy but delicious recipes, every week, and they take them to share it at home.
I used games, songs, art & craft and fun actinides.
Depending on the person's needs and preferences, I have a flexible approach to teaching. I can offer conversational sessions, to improve vocabulary, but also a more academic approach.
We take a table in a cafe and just start to talk about our own life in Spanish. However, I consider your level and give lessons that you need to learn in Spanish. If we have a target in learning Spanish, I focus on it and make our lessons' objectives in that way.
My teaching method is to familiarise the students with the aims and goals of each session. If for example I am helping a student with his/her GCSE/A level Spanish, I aim to cover each of the modules one by one at a pace that the student feels confident with, ensuring that the student grasp all the information and become familiar with the examination requirements.
My methodology depends on the student, the reason to learn the language and the level. I like to speak with the student before starting the classes in order to adapt my methodology to the specific needs :) Generally speaking, I think that it is important to focus the classes on the four skills rather than grammatical lessons.
