• A brief description of yourself and the kind of students your lessons are geared towards : Experienced Cambridge Certified English tutor who lives in both the United Kingdom and Ukraine at different times of the year. I am a highly motivated teacher, mentor and educator. I am goal oriented and highly motivated to achieve set goals.
As an avid language-learner myself, I can fully identify with the difficulties students face but my many years of experience (as a learner as well as a teacher) have taught me how best to deal with them.
I base my teaching methods on the 4 main principles of learning a language, reading writing listening and speaking. I am patient and firm and determined to help achieve success for my students. I have a good sense of humour and a wide range of local English expressions.
I am a qualified, experienced and native English teacher. I can help you build confidence and ability in communicating in English. All lessons will be designed to suit your exact needs, wants, and interests. I can support you with: - IELTs - General English - Conversational Skills - English for travel - FCE / CAE - .......
I approach each class with positivity, striving to help each student individually to the best of my ability. I take a communicative approach to teaching and I aim to get all students involved and communicating with one another to the best of their abilities.
I concentrate on functional English. Not all subjects in a language are equally learned at the same time. You might really need one part and have no interest in how to explain your extended family. I want to know what you want to learn now and what can wait. I like to find ways to use topics you enjoy to learn that vocabulary and grammar.
I use illustrations, pictures and real objects(realia) and relate work to learners' lives. I encourage peer work/check to build learner confidence and foster autonomy. In addition, I differentiate tasks to be sufficiently challenging to every learner. I also give detailed and prompt feedback, verbal and written, to both learners and parents.

I listen and assess each student's needs and requirements and devise a creative, fun and applicable lesson plan. I will use innovative techniques for example, visual aids as well as speaking, reading and writing within a suitable learning context. I shall set goals and work with the student to achieve them providing critical feedback and support as needed.
I just love teaching English! I love speaking and working with people of all ages and all levels and I am passionate about making lessons as fun and interactive as possible. If you are not engaged then you will not be learning, so I will do my best to keep everything interesting.
.My classes combine a mixed-skills approach, combining reading, writing, grammar, speaking and listening .Classes tailored to your perosnal needs, goals and interests .A variety of games activities to prevent boredom .Frequent oral practice .Regular assessment of progress .
I'm a multilingual graduate with language teaching experience and a background as a proofreader (novel). I specialise in one to one tuitions and my area of expertise is English as a foreign language to Chinese speakers. My preferred levels are Beginner & Elementary.
Everybody is different, so I like to base my classes upon fitting the needs of my students, tailoring each lesson specific to learning styles, interests and what factors may be motivating. Each lesson will be engaging, inspiring and result in progress being made.
The first lesson will be more of talking and going through exercises to check your English level. I start a lesson with an engage, so students are comfortable and ready for the lesson. After this stage, there is the study period, where the students learn the topic. Finally the last stage the student gets to practice what they just learned through a more freer way, e.g. roleplay.
I usually plan my teaching methods around my students, it is very important to me that my students enjoy the lessons and want to participate. Therefore, I usually ask students what they want to improve most on, subjects they find interesting etc. Then from this I try to plan helpful lessons with a good mix of interaction and theory.
I believe in making lessons fun and interesting. I try to introduce humour and personality whenever I can. Structure and organisation is important, but the skill of the teacher is being able to adapt to the individual needs of the pupils.
I will devise interesting a progressive lesson plans, prior to every class, with activities for you to take away in preparation for the next class. My initial taster class is free, intended to get to know each other and what your objectives are. I will then write a lesson plan based on this.
I believe that speaking from the outset is really important. Therefore, a typical lesson will start with a conversation about what you did that week or what you will do or your thoughts on a topic, and then we will go into the material for that lesson. Maybe we will concentrate on grammar, reading an article, vocabulary games, writing or even just chat, depending on what your level and needs are.
I am very experienced and qualified, but I am also friendly and flexible. My method is student centred.
I always ensure communicative approach. I adapt each and single lesson to make sure it suits the student's needs. I use a range of materials from videos, through newspaper articles to self-created materials such as flashcards and engaging and colourful handouts.
I like to encourage students to be engaged in the classes and I facilitate their learning. This is so they can love learning and also carry on learning outside the classroom straight after class. Then we talk about what they learned and have great conversation whilst getting better at English. I like to base my classes and trust and respect.
I base my classes on the likes/dislikes of the students and teach the things students will need to know the most. Worksheets are used in my classes along with different games and projects that serve a purpose to the students.
After gaining a good understanding of my student and their ability and preferences, I base my lessons around the things that they are interested in and make their learning applicable to them and their lives. I like to use role play, quizzes and games.
It depends on the needs of the student. It's important to speak. Even when a student is reading they must speak which helps with pronunciation followed by a discussion of the topic. Any unknown words are written for vocabulary building and studied. This is just a small example of my method.
Have previously taught students of all ages and abilities in Spain, Italy and China and online. I have a degree in Translation and Interpeting and Trinity CertTESOL qualification.
In my teaching I would ensure that you practice your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills in English. I create my own powerpoints and worksheets for you to work through. My teaching methods are varied, which includes roles play activities and discussions.
Hi, I'm Cat, 21 years old and currently studying a joint Law & Spanish Degree at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland. I have just finished my year abroad in Spain where I have been working with children of various ages and adults.
I teach mainly one to one, pairs and small groups and the students are the focal point of every lesson. Each lesson is tailor-made with the main emphasis being placed on learner needs and desires so that the students are as much a part of their language development as I am in terms of the aims, objectives, creativity and content.
My teaching method is student-centred, I build my class around my students and their personal needs. I try to teach the logic of the language, rather than strict grammar. To sense the language always helps my student to get the proper knowledge of the language.
