I concentrate on functional English. Not all subjects in a language are equally learned at the same time. You might really need one part and have no interest in how to explain your extended family. I want to know what you want to learn now and what can wait. I like to find ways to use topics you enjoy to learn that vocabulary and grammar.
I believe learning should be enjoyable and meaningful. I love teaching teenagers and young adults, especially at college/university level. My lessons are engaging and active because I love to have fun in the classroom and I believe this fosters learning. I am passionate about teaching English Language and can effectively teach across many levels.
I begin with the knowledge of the level my students are currently based on, ie, grades and writing capability. From there onwards, it sets a good rooted foundation of the topics that may simply be revised over and topics that of which require a lot more attention towards.
My lesson plans are tailored to the student's necessities and goals, so each lesson is personalised. I usually focus in grammar which, especially in English, is the key to understand the language. But I intend to introduce and explore some vocabulary while studying grammar.
I believe that each student learns in their own unique way and I do my best to support and encourage my students to do so. I teach all my students that it is okay to make mistakes because mistakes are a valuable learning and growing opportunity. I encourage my students to ask questions and to help guide the lessons so they can be as valuable to them as possible.

Hello! I'm a workshop leader, English language teacher and love social interaction. I teacher mainly adults - beginner to advanced - and really enjoy it. I teach 1-on-1 as well as groups for a range of reasons i.e. social interaction, conversation, travel, etc and like to take my students out to test their language skills and increase confidence.
I firstly share my experience how to remember new words in an aesy and effective way. Then, I will provide a particular topic in each class and introduce the relevant words which are frequently used. In each class, I will also practice speaking and reading with students so that they can relate the words to real life easily.
I base my sessions on topics. We will learn content, then go through practice questions to solidify what’s just been learnt.
I like to go through the theory and the knowledge behind the topic. I then provide a short try where we apply the new skills, if that goes well then the student will be given a harder test.
I want my students to learn fast.
My teaching method is flexible according to what my students require of me. I have worked in a range of settings, from formal classroom structure, to informal conversational classes. I think the student's needs are paramount so would determine a structure with the student beforehand, and would teach accordingly.
