I give lessons to students in Junior and Senior school. I usually try to see what the student really needs to work on to prepare my next lessons. I also don't use the same method for every student as I don't believe that one method works for everyone. In general, I try to use fun activities and games to keep the student interested in the subject.
I was born in France and moved to Belfast 3 months ago, We always spoke English and French at home as my husband is from Belfast. In my private life, as a Mum of a bilingual daugther, I learnt how to constatly translate everything. I will base my classes on your needs. First we will test your knowledge and then build the course to help you achieve your goal.
I always adapt myself to the students. I find their centre of interests, what they like and would teach from what they can easily understand. Everybody have in their minds, existing patterns in various fields. My approach will be to reach my students on their own patterns with Q/A and establish a common ground where they can learn to speak and write French "en douceur".
I am passionate by my language, country and culture and I love to share it with my students during my classes through grammar, conversation, writing, videos, informal classes at the museum, yoga etc. I use different supports (books, videos, plays, writing) to make you learn meanwhile enjoying the process.
My teaching is very much based on my own learning path, using the tricks and methods I've discovered over the past 12 years of learning French. Content will be based on your preferences and needs, going at your pace of learning.
I will teach foundation subjects. I give lessons in a format where we will do note taking, regular testing via Kahoot! or by asking you questions based on the specification. I try not to be overbearing but I will be strict by a little bit.
I know what its like to feel out of our depth with a subject that can sometimes be very hard to grasp. What I like to do with students is develop an understanding of how they approach subjects. With this we can then tailor and personalise my teaching methods according to their needs.
I can give lessons to beginners up to University level. The teaching method will depend on the need of each student but I believe that leatning with real material (books, movies, songs, casual conversation) is the most effective method. I will also help the student understand his french classes if he has some at school, and will help him with his homework.
During these hours, I want you to speak French. Sounds like obvious, but it the most important thing. We can speak about what you want, but we will do it in French. Thanks to this we will debriefed our dialogue and you will have a vocabulary list for the next time as a base for our work.
I like to take a practical approach to teaching and fully believe using language in context and in practice is the best way to retain and understand a foreign language for example in role plays, every day contexts, using whiteboards or interactive technology.
I base my classes on communication. Everyone can participate. We will start with the formal conversation and a presentation. Then we will discuss on all the possible subjects (actuallity, sport, politics ...).
I provide tutoring to primary, secondary school students and adults. I provide a starter activity, followed by different activities and games which combine all four language skills and finish with a plenary. I always tailor lessons to suit the student(s).
I am a French mum of 3 children, I moved in Belfast 2 years ago, my english is not too good ! lol But my french is excellent ! I can help you for Grammar, conjugation, pronunciation, vocabulary... With children, I use a pedagogic methods through games and drawings... I am not a teacher, I will adapt the several methods depending your age, your personality , your level and your target.
I can give lesson from A1 to C2 level. Hello, As a person who has been graduated with an AFL (applied foreign languages) bachelor degree and a Master degree specialized in International Marketing, I am vigilant with accent, orthographe and grammar. Lesson structure: A1: work on the bases of grammar, orthographe, accent. Reading, writing, understanding.
Even if it can be argued that methodology should change depending on group sizes and ages of students my approach is to maintain a fun learning environment at all time. Topics should be relevant to each individual and customised to cater for different levels and learning abilities and this is where you can find a competitive hedge over school where differentiation can sometimes be an issue.
I base my classes on what the individual needs help with whether it be total beginner level (primary) or more advanced and make it as relaxed as possible as I know not every student thrives in a classroom environment and prefers something more calm.
I tailor my lessons according to the individual needs of each pupil and to the curriculum of the particular course/exam-board under which they are studying, identifying the areas in need of improvement and devising an individual strategy to combat them. Lessons for extra-curricular purposes are also available to all levels.
