My teaching method is based on what the students need, whether it is help with their French classes, or someone who wants to have a conversation to improve their vocabulary, etc... There is not necessarily a specific methodology I follow as every students have different needs.
As a fully qualified (M.Ed) French Teacher, I can teach all ages and levels: from Primary through GCSE and A-Level to Adults - and from Beginners through Intermediate to Advanced. Generally, I like to strike a good balance of communication and learning language rules (i.e. grammar), with lots of authentic and contemporary materials, such as French music, videos, texts, etc.
All lessons are tailored to the students’ needs and expectations, designed depending on their level, interests and specific objectives.I teach French in a studious and enjoyable environment. I provide French tuition online and in Berkshire / Surrey (based in Bracknell) : one-to-one, groups for Business, Leisure, Preparation GCSE and A-level. From children to adults.
For GCSEs, I review with them their weaknesses (reading, grammar, etc), give them tips to gain points, make them speak a lot through role playing, tell them a bit about the French way of life. I try to keep it simple and fun. For adults, I will focus on their plans: brushing up their French because they intend to visit the country or move to France...
I offer one-on-one and group tutoring in French and welcome all levels. Lessons are tailored to your needs and interests. Relaxed conversations in a cafe or at home, learning through songs, stories and games for the younger ones, preparation for exams...
I learnt English in France, at school and struggled with the "academic", rigid and unrealistic teaching techniques there for years. When I arrived in the UK to work, I had to get familiar with the "real English people" as spoken by people and felt unprepared; I could not keep up with real life situations such as answering a phone call to someone who was speaking fast, or dealing with accents.
I prefer to base lessons off of topics from a required textbook, or simply a list of areas the student would like to improve in. Lessons are generally a mixture of grammar points and exercises, and some speaking (conversation) practice.
Bonjour, I came to England, as an au-pair, over 20 years ago…. and I’m still here. I set up my own company, Apprenons (which means Let’s learn) in 2007 and since then I’ve been teaching adults from all ages and at all levels.
I have a degree in French and Spanish from the University of Bristol, and spent a year tutoring English in Spain. I have a flexible teaching style that I tailor according to how students enjoy learning, and what they most need to improve.
The French session have to last 1h but you can have a session of 2h maximum. During these session we will work on what you need to improve that could be: oral, vocabulary, verbs, your homework or I can make you work for an exam...everything you need and you want. I need to know what you want to practice before the first session to prepare the session before we meet.
From Y5 to GCSE and for the professionals who needs to make a presentation in French. As soon as you speak French in France, you are assessed and people might reply to you in English straight away. So we'll focus on the pronunciation and the accent to avoid this issue. Then we'll work also your listening and writing skills through dictation.
I base my classes on discussions and exchanges concerning daily and basic situations. I can perfectly adapt to the student's needs, we can perfectly work on oral comprehension, on a book for a more technical learning. Most of all, the goal of learning a new language is to improve and have fun, this is what I am trying to do: manage enjoyment and progress.
I plan carefully my lessons with a starter activity, main objective and a recap activity at the end. Students are engaged in using the new vocabulary and actively learning whatever grammar they need. I am very professional and hard working. I can teach any level from beginners (primary or new learner) to A- level student.
Repetition and patience are the keys to teaching. I adapt my teaching methods to individuals. From my experience, he use of images and songs are very helpful. I prone for active learning. I very much encourage the use of media. Learning should be active and fun.
My teaching methodology is understanding the sentence structure in the language and acquiring vocabulary at every lesson by studying topics
The material used focuses on your needs and interests. It is suitable for either everyday life or business. Particular attention is placed on pronunciation, conversation, grammar as well as writing skills if required. Should you need to start from scratch or improve your skills please contact me. I can help.
My teaching method it's to speak all time in french with students I will put my seriousness, my diplomacy and my tenacity at the service of our mutual success. In addition, my husband is currently working at Vinci Construction in London, so I would have no mobility problems.
My teaching methodology starts with a little test to know the student's level. Then the subject I will teach deponds on the level. I teach the grammar, what tense to use, vocabulary (global and special topic vocabulary), speaking, listening, reading and writing.
Practice, practice, practice is my method! The best way to learn a language, apart from having of course a good grammar base, is speaking with a native, watch TV in that language, listen to music, immerge in its culture.
I always start off by assessing the strengths and weaknesses of a student and make sure that I approach each lesson in a way that will benefit them the most. For example, some people learn better by writing things down, others learn better by speaking.
I will typically ask the student what he/she would like to go over again and offer help/methodology on key topics. From there, we can either do exercises from their textbook. If this isn't possible, I'm willing to prepare a set of exercises beforehand.
I would like to approach the Learning of the language in a way that you prefer, i can have conversations with you to broaden your speaking kills, i would give you short writing exercises and check them without giving you a heavy amount of work outside of our lessons.
My teaching method is really flexible. I offer personalized lessons according to student's wishes and preferences. I can work on vocabulary according to themes but also on the study of French text, musics, movies...
All my courses are structured following this scheme: 1 - Review of the most important points 2 - Basic applications 3 - In depth exercises These 3 points include vocabulary, grammar and prononciation fundamentals I also use several training tools: exercises, audio recordings, TV news extracts.
I am most comfortable teaching young students from primary school to secondary school as i can make learning French relatable and enjoyable. I have creative ideas so learning won't just be sitting down and writing. I have good knowledge of French culture as I have lived in France for a short time and go back regularly.
first, i am a new tutor and i have never be a tutor, but i know how to start to teach for instance my daughter is born in England and i manage to teach her some French quite easily. Regarding to have a plan and structure that is simple to find it online.
I have been working in education for the last 5 years in France and I am now looking to share my passion for the French language with UK students! I very strongly believe that it is important for students to be interested and engaged in the subject they are learning.
At the beginning of each session I’d offer the students a snack and drink (can’t work on an empty stomach). I love the use whiteboards as they are fun and interactive. One of the most important things in my eyes is that a student should never get bored because if something isn’t fun or interesting then why do it.
I base my classes on a clear description of any rule regarding the language. I use different methods for kids than the one for adults. For kids, I follow the French Schools methodology. For Adults, I make a historical approach to make the class more fun.
I am a hard working person, patient and understanding. I easy to communicate to and teaching is easy and it all about working ag the pace of the one.
