The lesson is a series of connections, discoveries, and revelations that build on the student’s previous understanding, which through repetition, create a second language.
What are your dreams for connecting with Japanese people through the Japanese language? I have achieved my dream, I’d love to develop your curiosity and give you the tools to achieve yours.
I will find your topics of interest within Japanese and push you further into them through teaching, motivation, and inspiring or interesting anecdotes of Japanese culture.
Lessons begin with a review assessment to gauge how well students have been applying the past material, which naturally transitions into many teaching moments. My review questions can be extremely specific or abstract - but they will hold you accountable your part of the learning process.
The time spent outside of the lesson is crucial - I will be answering any questions you have through the week, reinforcing your understanding and noting down what topics would be of interest to you for our next lesson.
