I believe that learning a language at a young age is key, not only for a pupils's foreign language skills but also to enhance their general level of linguistic communication and expression. I help pupils understand the roots of our words, whether French or English, as this will boost all future learning universally. I aim to help primary school children feel confident to write structured sentences with essential French verb tenses, and teach them to understand the system by which French functions. I hope to expand on my pupil's vocabulary and begin to introduce them to French culture with stories containing simple language. I believe that confidence is crucial with any language, and I aim to introduce basic conversation that will progressively enable every pupil to speak with conviction.
I am a student, who spent a wonderful childhood growing up in France. This led me to continue studying the language to degree level. I held multiple roles of responsibility in my school years, which I was committed to and thoroughly enjoyed. I am currently studying English and French at the University of Southampton. I have plenty of experience leading and teaching, having volunteered with primary school children and also produced my school's annual musicals, which allowed me to lead group rehearsals and work with pupils of all ages.
