About Chelsea
My name is Chelsea Gawthrop and I am 16 years old. I am currently studying History A level and plan on pursuing this course and turning it into a career in teaching. I wish to teach in the hopes that I will be able to inspire young people to enjoy my favourite subject as much as I do. My ideology is that any child can achieve whatever they would like with the correct support. With my naturally supportive nature and calm demeanour I believe myself to be not only sufficiently qualified but extremely enthusiastic in aiding young children to meet their goals.

My lessons consist of a mixture of reviewing what has previously been taught during school lessons, focusing on areas of particular difficulty for the student and an overall focus on exam techniques. These lessons will be on average around an hour although longer sessions would be available if necessary. I, myself, left secondary school with a grade 9 in history and an 8 in English Language (a key skill for history due to the essay portion of the exams). Whilst my tutoring experience is limited I am incredibly passionate about history and wish to pursue this course and become a teacher in the future. My lessons are for those studying GCSE History preferably studying the edexcel course. My key areas are Crime and Punishment (1066 to the modern period), Elizabethan England and the rise and reign of the Nazis. My key aim is to support students in achieving what I know they can. Every child has the potential to succeed and with the right support and encouragement they will be prepared for their key exams.
