About Sophie
My name is Sophie and I am a recent A Level graduate with a passion for the sciences I'd love to impart to your children. At A levels I achieved As in biology and chemistry and an A* in A level psychology. At GCSE I achieved 998 in the sciences, the 9s being in biology and chemistry. I will soon be studying Biomedical Sciences at Bristol as I harbour a keen interest in pharmacology and biochemistry. I previously enjoyed tutoring two year 10 girls whilst I was still in year 12. I am patient and understanding and will work with your child to target the areas they are uncertain about first and build a solid base of understanding for the subject. Students will leave sessions feeling they have a deeper knowledge of the subject.

In our lessons I will aim to inspire your children with a passion for the subjects. I am able to be patient and explain topics from different angles meaning all lessons will be tailored to best suit their needs. The lessons will be interactive and fun! We will first target your child's weak spots so that they have a solid understanding of the subject and their grades flourish. If the student is at the beginning of their course we can go over what they have done in lessons, working on practise questions to consolidate learning and refine their grasp of the topic or if they would like we can push ahead of the class and learn further on in their specification to accelerate their learning.
I have found that all people learn differently and have different needs and so during our first session I will find out how best to divide up the lesson time. This may even differ session to session depending on the current needs of the student. I am flexible and happy to spend time helping students with practise questions and or their homework, going through past papers, teaching new curriculum or revising past topics.
I will be offering hour long sessions for GCSE and key stage 3 students in chemistry.
