About Beth
I am a year-12 student, currently studying biology, maths and psychology A-levels, predicted 3 grade As. Having achieved 11 GCSEs, and 8 grade 9s, including a grade 9 in higher maths a grade 7 in further maths, I also achieved bronze and silver certificates in maths the UKMT and the girls challenge.
I feel confident in my ability to teach both higher and foundation GCSE maths and a higher primary school level, alongside answering any further mathematics questions. Initially partaking in work experience with volunteer tutoring at a local primary school for their SATs. Following this, I volunteer at my school on a Friday morning with a small group of students working through any difficult maths problems and privately during after school hours with a year 10 gcse student. I believe in hard work, and building confidence in a student’s own ability alongside working to adapt methods to make them most comfortable to ensure they are in a good environment before able to begin taking on the challenges faced in maths.
Additionally, from previous volunteer work, I have gained an up-to-date DBS check, and am more than happy to answer any questions regarding location and my own personal grade with any parents, as i understand you want what’s best for your child

Consisting of an hour of interactive activities and question papers. Initially a spoken-through tutorial, alongside the students, understanding their strengths, weaknesses and end goals. Then following up with a series of questions and challenges following their specific curriculum , working through them together and then attempting some individually if the student is comfortable and wanting to test their understanding. These techniques, I have picked up from past experience and have proven effective.
