I hope to firstly discuss with the student their weaknesses and what they struggle with most. I would give them a sheet that has all the topics that is part of their course and ask them to either put a happy, normal or sad face next to them to give me an indication on what needs tackling first. I would then teach them a topic, give them some questions on the topic and then look at some advanced, exam styles questions on that specific topic. When we have covered a lot of topics, i will set them a test to do over the period of time we don't see each-other for (along with homework sheets on what we have covered week by week).
i haven't had much experience in teaching, but i want to get started and do something i think i will enjoy a lot. I have done volunteering in math classes in my school where i have helped a top set with harder grade questions. i want to develop this experience by hopefully helping individuals during one to ones.
I am currently 16 years of age and studying mathematics, physics and chemistry at A level. In mathematics, i achieved an equivalent of an A grade at gcse. I am available to teach both foundation and higher gcse, as well as secondary and primary level!!
