I truly believe the best way to learn is very much dependent on the student. Some students prefer to read and make notes, some like watching videos or looking at diagrams and others prefer practice questions. I would like to help students to understand the best way of learning for them so I will try different methods until we find the best one.
This will be my first time giving lessons to other pupils but I have been helping my sister with her maths and science homework ever since she started secondary school. In my GCSEs, I received an 8 in maths, an 8 in chemistry, an 8 in biology and a 7 in physics.
For the past 5 years, I have been studying at the local grammar school. In June 2018, I completed my GCSE exams and my hard work over the past few years resulted in me achieving strong grades across the 12 subjects that I have studied. I managed to get 4 A*s/8s, 5 As/7s and 3Bs/6s. In September 2018 I returned to Highsted to study A-Levels in Maths, Chemistry, Economics and Further Maths and I believe my drive to succeed will brought me great accomplishments and achieved BBBE respectively.
My time at school has taught me many skills and has given me many opportunities to improve myself. For example, in 2016 I was presented with the opportunity to go on the German Exchange. Here, I had to communicate with many different types of people from different cultures and it taught me many new skills such as independence and communication.
In previous years, I had been part of the Girl Guiding community, and here I was made a leader of one of the patrols. I had to come up with activities and events for my group. This allowed me to develop my leadership skills and made me much more confident in talking to people.
I was also part of a local theatre group for eight years and during this time I worked with many different people. I enjoyed my time there thoroughly, but unfortunately had to stop because of my upcoming GCSEs. During my time with the group I performed lead and support roles at venues locally and further afield including Orchard Theatre Dartford and IndigO2.

My key responsibilities in this job were to deliver between 1000 and 2000 leaflets every month within a 10-day period. Although I only did this for a short amount of time, it reinforced my understanding of how important sticking to deadlines is and I made sure that every month I completed all tasks set to me by the company.
STRATEGIC WEALTH MANAGEMENT | JULY 2018- AUGUST 2018
During my summer holidays, I was fortunate enough to find work experience with the financial advising business ‘Strategic Wealth Management’. Here, I had many responsibilities, such as updating their social media pages, advertising and promoting their social media pages, attending client meetings and generally helping around the office. This really helped with my confidence as I had to communicate with many new people to gain the information I needed.
I love listening to music and in the summer of 2016, I decided to teach myself how to play the ukulele. I also enjoy cooking, watching TV and spending time with friends.
