At the start of the session, we will discuss the topics you would like to go over and I will teach you using different methods. At the end, I will give you questions to check your understanding and we can go over anything as many times as you like! I will also give you questions from previous session/s and go over what you struggled with. This is an example of spaced repetition and active recall- my main method of teaching. This is where you are retrieving content from memory, over a space of time, transferring information from short-term to long-term, ready for when you need it the most e.g. in assessments and exams. Please feel free to bring up any summer homework etc. that you need help with as well! I understand that no students are the same in terms of how they respond to teaching methods etc. so I will also take time to understand what they are most comfortable with and mould around their preferences e.g. if they are not kinetic learners, we can try drawing mind-maps etc. instead if they are visual learners!
