About Joan
Hi! I’m a motivated and friendly A level maths student who enjoys helping others understand maths. I know that maths can sometimes feel confusing or overwhelming, but with the right explanation it can become much easier and even enjoyable. Because I recently studied these topics myself, I understand the challenges students face and can explain concepts in a simple, relatable way.
I am patient, supportive, and always encourage students to ask questions without feeling embarrassed. My goal is to help students improve their confidence, strengthen their understanding, and achieve better results in their maths exams.

My lessons are friendly, supportive, and focused on helping students truly understand maths rather than just memorising methods. I break down difficult topics into simple steps and adapt my teaching style to suit each student’s pace and learning style. Whether you need help with homework, preparing for exams, or improving your confidence in maths, I aim to create a comfortable environment where you can ask questions and make progress. My goal is to help students build strong problem-solving skills and feel more confident tackling GCSE maths questions.
