About Lica
Hi, I’m Lica, a Licensed Professional Teacher from the Philippines with 5+ years of experience teaching English online to students from different countries and backgrounds.
I’m a big believer that learning English shouldn’t feel like memorizing endless grammar rules. My goal is to make every lesson useful, engaging, and comfortable, while helping you become more confident in using English in real situations.
Whether you’re preparing for the IELTS, improving your speaking skills, or looking to communicate more confidently in a professional setting, I’ll tailor our lessons to your goals, level, and learning style.
I’m patient, encouraging, and always happy to explain things in different ways until they click. I also believe that mistakes are part of learning, so you can expect a supportive space where you can speak, practice, ask questions, and grow without feeling embarrassed.

My lessons are designed to be practical, engaging, and focused on helping you use English confidently in real-life situations.
What you can learn with me:
IELTS Preparation – speaking practice, vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and strategies for answering different question types.
English Speaking – improve fluency, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, and confidence in everyday conversations.
Business English – develop the language skills needed for meetings, presentations, emails, interviews, workplace conversations, and professional communication.
My teaching approach
I believe you learn English best when you actually use it, not just memorize rules. I encourage students to speak, ask questions, make mistakes, and learn from them in a comfortable and supportive environment.
I use conversation practice, role-playing, real-life situations, guided discussions, vocabulary building, pronunciation exercises, and personalized feedback based on your goals and level.
What a typical lesson looks like
A lesson may include:
A quick warm-up or conversation activity
Introduction of the day's topic or goal
Vocabulary and useful expressions
Guided practice and discussion
Real-life role-play or speaking activity
Feedback on grammar, pronunciation, and vocabulary
A short review and recommendations for continued practice
I also adjust the lesson based on what you need. If you're preparing for IELTS, we'll focus more on exam strategies and timed practice. If you're improving your speaking, we'll spend more time having natural conversations. For Business English, we'll practice situations you are likely to encounter at work.
