About Vanessa
As a Family Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse with a Master’s Degree in Nursing, I bring both advanced clinical knowledge and firsthand experience with the demands of nursing education and board preparation.
I understand how overwhelming complex material can feel, especially when preparing for high-stakes exams such as the NCLEX or AANP certification exam. My approach is professional, patient, and judgment-free. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions, reviewing difficult concepts more than once, and working through areas where they may lack confidence.
I provide structured, focused tutoring sessions tailored to each student’s learning needs and goals. My priority is to create a supportive learning environment while helping students strengthen their knowledge, clinical reasoning, and test-taking confidence.

I am a Family Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse with a Master’s Degree in Nursing. I provide tutoring for Vocational Nursing, Registered Nursing, and Family Nurse Practitioner students, with a special focus on Pharmacology, NCLEX preparation, and AANP Family Nurse Practitioner board preparation.
My goal is to help students move beyond memorization and understand how to apply nursing and pharmacology concepts to exam questions, clinical scenarios, and real-world patient care.
I especially enjoy helping students break down difficult pharmacology concepts, recognize patterns in board-style questions, and understand why one answer is correct while the others are not.
Tutoring topics may include:
• Nursing and Advanced Pharmacology
• Medication classes, mechanisms of action, adverse effects, and contraindications
• NCLEX-PN and NCLEX-RN preparation
• AANP FNP board preparation
• Clinical judgment and scenario-based questions
• Advanced practice concepts
• Test-taking strategies and question breakdown
• Study planning and exam preparation
Students are welcome to bring lecture notes, PowerPoints, study guides, practice questions, or specific topics they would like to review. Sessions are tailored to the student’s current course, upcoming exam, NCLEX preparation, or FNP board preparation.
My teaching style is practical, supportive, and interactive. I focus on helping students understand the reasoning behind the material so they can apply it confidently on exams and in clinical practice.
