I have returned to the UK to further my career in art and art teacher .

Petr Chmel

Petr Chmel was born in Olomouc in the Czech Republic in 1979.
My enthusiasm and interest in art have emerged as a child and has accordingly studied art. Inge Kosková's graphics and other painters such as Václav Hlaváč, Slavoj Kovařík helped me find my pictorial style, but my main interests and motives are always renewed. At present, mainly depicts women's naked figures recalling the great masters Modigliani or Gaugauin. For them I am using a special technique invented by myself, which calls `pedrage`. Pedrage consists of several stages: elementary materials are colored plaster, turpentine and oil colors, which are applied in layers and create opaque and shiny effects in the paintings. My art works and drawings are collected by collectors around the world: Japan, USA, Peru, Austria and the Czech Republic. Václav Klaus / Czech President until 2013 / is one of his collectors.
