About Niels

I had the opportunity to teach the basics of crochet to a large number of people, especially during workshops organized by various associations and organizations.

I am currently a student, and spend a lot of my free time developing different projects which mostly consist of pieces and clothes that can be worn in different situations. I also really like to share the patterns of those creations. When developing them, I try to apply a fairly instinctive practice, then more codified, which is based on the knowledge transmitted by my mother when I was only 8 years old, and which I developed during years.

About the lesson

I like to share my knowledge with a lot of patience and kindness, whether it is with someone who is just starting out, or with more advanced people.

In addition to simple techniques for getting started with different projects, I really like to share some practical skills and knowledges, in order to make the practice of crochet more enjoyable. I am thinking in particular of the selection of material, whether it is the hook, the type of yarn and the accessories that come with them.

I also like to share my thoughts on the use of sometimes atypical materials, or that one can find in his daily environment (transformation and reuse of bags and plastic packaging, upcycling of old clothes, ...) in order to find ways to use them in your projects. In addition, I have gathered a large number of resources (books, videos, tutorials ...) that I would share with you with great pleasure.

Niels m’a appris le crochet il y de ça deux ans. Grâce à sa patience et sa solicitude, j’ai pu apprendre vite et bien de nombreux points différents et ai très rapidement pu pratiquer en autonomie. Maintenant, je réalise des projets ambitieux toute seule mais je sais que je pourrai compter sur lui si jamais j’ai le moindre doute ou question. Toujours souriant et à l’écoute, Niels est un excellent professeur et je le recommande vivement.
