About Ishani
I am Ishani, a fully qualified and experienced teacher and tutor of English living in a small, South-Lincolnshire village. Alongside tutoring, I love reading, singing and painting. I usually have about 20 students at any given time and, as well as guiding them during lessons, I am always on call to mark work and provide feedback or advice ahead of a tricky assessment or in the run-up to those all-important final exams.

I teach hour-long lessons on a weekly basis. My students are usually aged 11-18 and, more often then not, 14-16 and tackling their GCSEs. My initial emphasis is on listening to the student to find out about their interests, difficulties and learning style. I love games, pictures and video clips, re-arranging information into different visual formats such as spider diagrams and tables and I love to debate and discuss. I've had 4 years experience in secondary schools and have been tutoring since 2015. My passion is to meet young people and help them to thrive in and enjoy English, even where it isn't their favourite subject.
