This masterclass is aimed at content producers looking to forge a career in sports journalism or just improve the output of their club website or social media channels.
Lessons will cover reporting on live events across different media channels. Discover key techniques, language, tone of voice and insights on producing minute-by-minute reports and full post-event reports.
Look at how use of images, embedding social media posts and video help engage readers.
Learn the secrets of mastering interviews and press conferences, how to get that killer quote and the best ways to publish it to maximum effect. You will be shown techniques for adding quotes to reports you have already written, how to write quotes stories and quote-led match reports.
Lessons will be delivered in a fun, engaging manner with interactive practical exercises performed in realistic conditions.

Course setup
I am a sports journalist with more than 20 years experience of producing content on national newspapers, online media, TV, radio and launching start-ups. I have covered major sporting events from the Olympics, to the World Cup, World Championship Boxing to World Championship snooker. As a teacher, I have mentored trainees producing video and written content, delivered lectures on Sports Journalism upto degree level and helped find internships and first job opportunities.
