About Georgie

I have a BA:1st in Music, a grade 6 in singing with grade 8 ability, as well as 2 years qualified music teacher experience.

Sessions are engaging: I use humour as a tool, as well as, provide activities; using lots of repetition and reflection which all helps with memory and focus.

Sunflower awareness: I have ADHD and on the Autism Spectrum.

About the lesson

What I provide:
Singing lessons with Vocal care,
Music Theory lessons,
GCSE Music revision,
Music Therapy sessions,
and Logic & Sibelius composition help.

Lessons are 1hr at my house in West Hampstead (7 min walk from train station).

I have known Georgina for several years, she is now tutoring my (anxious) child for GCSE music on face to face basis. (She also offered zoom when transport was issue.)

Her passion knowledge and delivery is impressive, her style is relaxed, encouraging and patient, she makes lessons enjoyable so my daughter is keen to attend.

When did you first develop a passion for music and your favourite instrument?
I have always loved music, it is so natural in me! I was singing Shania twain from the age of 5 when everyone else was singing ba-ba black sheep. I love singing as its an instrument you can take anywhere!
Is there a particular type of music or artist that you listen to on a loop without it driving you crazy?
My favourite singer is Lauryn Hill; a voice of an angle and I love soul and musical theatre. but to be honest, I love listening to some real trash pop music.
Explain to us the most difficult or riveting course you could personally give to a student of music.
Minimalist music is, a wonderful idea to break the music down to just organist sound. but is it fun?!?
What do you think is the most complicated instrument to master and why?
Any instrument you have to transpose, crazy smart if you can do that!
What are your keys to success?
Rejection is important for confidence. and if you never ask, the answer is always no!
Name three musicians you dream of meeting in your favourite bar in the early hours of the morning. Explain why.
Pharrell Williams, the best producer or all time. stevie wonder, to be able to create music that fun but smart. and Carlo Santanos, so he could serenade me!
Provide a valuable anecdote related to music or your days at music school.
I believed I was going to university to scrap a 2:2, but once I found even more love for music. I got a first. so the key to success is enjoyment.
