About Lois
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have been teaching privately for the past 12 years and have experience with all ages and abilities. I am a member of the music staff at Thomas' School and The Harrodian School.
As well as experience in teaching all ages and abilities, I frequently perform with professionally with orchestras such as: London Symphony Orchestra, English National Opera, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, London Mozart Players and The Heritage Orchestra.

Whether a complete beginner or post grade 8, I aim to give musical education that is fun and motivating. I have a very consistent record for good exam results and scholarship auditions but whatever your aims, I will do my best to help you reach them.

South west London. I am based in Nine Elms and teach at home but may be able travel to: Wandsworth, Vauxhall, Kennington, Kensington, Battersea, Clapham, Earl's court, Fulham, Hammersmith, Kensington.

- Which ages and levels do you teach?
All ages and levels from complete beginners to post ABRSM Grade 8
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I always ask my students what the main aim of their learning is so that we can set specific goals. Graded exams can be a good way of marking progress but I understand that not everyone wants to take them. Some of my students are aiming to prepare for public recitals and some simply play an instrument for the love of music making. I have had some adult pupils in the past learn a a new instrument and a new piece for specific occasions and that has been good fun!
