About Jeffrey Ivan
I started teaching in 1969, in England. I taught for a short time in Sweden and several years in Shanghai, preparing pupils for courses in UK and Australian universities. My total number of pupils now runs to nearly 10,000. Several thousands of my pupils have achieved degrees or professional qualifications and the ones I kept in touch with for a while established successful careers. I have also helped several hundred pupils reach the IELTS band they need, especially doctors from other countries who need an IELTS 7.0 or 7.5.

I am a teacher of all aspects of English, holding Qualified Teacher Status in England and a Cambridge CELTA. I make an analysis of the needs of each pupil (strengths and weaknesses) and design a personal course to suit their needs. Lessons last one or one-and-a-half hours, either face-to face in or near to Skipton or on Skype.

My rates are £30 an hour for all levels. I charge £5 for distances of 5-10 miles and I do not travel further.
