Loretta - Stratford - Saxophone

Methodology

Hello and welcome to my page. I've just finished studying a Master's degree in Jazz at Trinity Laban Conservatoire. I am confident teaching students of all ages and abilities. It is important to be creative and adapt in this fast-paced industry.

- Which subject(s) do you teach?

I teach Saxophone, Clarinet, Flute, Music Theory.
I have other experience in Event Management, Marketing Strategy and dealing with Stress Management with kids and adults.

- Tell me about your qualifications.

- I have a First Distinction Degree in BA (Hons) Jazz.
- I have expereince in Trinity, ABRSM, London College grade stystems
- Grade 8, Diaploma in Woodwind instruments
- Grade 7, Classical Singing
- Grade 5, Theory.

- Where do you teach?

I prefer to teach in my home in Stratford (E15), but I am very willing to travel within a reasonable radius to give a lesson.

- When are you available?

I have availability on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and the weekend. I am fairly flexible. However, I may sometimes have alterations to my timetable and concert schedule which may mean that I am forced to change the time of a lesson.

- Which ages and levels do you teach?

I teach any age. I am comfortable teaching any level up to grade 8 standard and beyond, and am also confident teaching beginners strong foundations.

- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?

I like to motivate my students and am happy to organise either Associated Board and Trinity exam should the pupil wish to take them when the suitable level has been attained. However, exams are not for everyone, and am also totally content teaching students who don't want to take exams. Equal development can take place either way!

- Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.

I am happy to teach any woodwind lessons for students approx. grade 2 and above via Skype. Please get in touch for further information.

- Do you have a personal message for students?

It doesn't matter whether you are a complete beginner or if you have studied in the past and would like to make a return to lessons. Anybody can learn to play an instrument, from young children to adults. It's never too late to learn, enjoy the progress to succeed and to be the best as you can be.
