About Weldon
"Teaching exists because I find deep satisfaction in watching players develop their own relationship with the instrument. You will find my studio provides a safe space for growth whether you are a 4-year-old beginner or a teenager preparing for college auditions. Throughout my 13 years of teaching, I have maintained a patient and methodical approach.
I currently perform with the Los Angeles Philharmonic while managing my home studio. My experience ensures that I remain a reliable guide for your musical development."

"Weight releases through the shoulders before the bow even touches the string to create a resonant sound. Alexander Technique principles inform every aspect of our work to ensure physical ease during complex passages.
I incorporate double stops and intonation exercises to sharpen your technical accuracy. Training includes specific work on spiccato and staccato bowing alongside refined vibrato control. My DMA from the University of Michigan provides the academic foundation for our 13 years of shared expertise. Tuning by ear remains a central focus as we prepare for your future success."
