About Sara
I have graduated in Japanese Language and Literature at Ca' Foscari University in Venice and I moved to Tokyo where I lived for 18 years teaching Italian Language and Culture, studied Anthropology and worked part time as translator and interpreter from Japanese to Italian. It was a wonderful experience of working, teaching and studying language and society. I also specialized as a teacher for the CILS certification, that I consider a fundamental tool to help the students in their future life in Italy. I have experience as a researcher of Cultural and Religious Anthropology at the Keio University and I intend to specialize in sociology and Anthropology at Ph.D. level in the future. Studying and researching is my lifetime purpose as I want to expand my academic interests and my skills as orientalist and professor of Italian language, culture, and society. In this long span of years, I have developed skills as active and motivational teacher of grammar, focusing especially on the conversation which I believe plays a key role on the academic level, and on the daily life of the students in Italy. I am confident in my skills as motivator of students for fast results in the learning of the language as well as any other aspect on society that is a necessary part of any culture course. In this regard I would like to teach with a focus on spoken language with cultural hints, with an eye on the needs of the students that are facing a potential new life in Italy.
