I give one-to-one lessons for 7+, 11+ and GCSE maths students. Every student is different so my teaching method varies depending on what would suit you best. While some may prefer to go through each stage of the calculations together, others might benefit from interactive demonstrations - especially concerning problems involving probability and geometry.
I consider myself to be adaptable to students' preferred learning methods and so they can decide to bring their own materials and questions or ask to go through a specific topic/chapter of the course.
I provide a sturdy understanding of the content, and my own clear and concise notes that I used to achieve my grade. Alongside practise questions and past papers we can work to solidify your understanding and consequently increase the pace of answering questions; improving exam technique and confidence.
Keeping students engaged is the most important factor in achieving success, so throughout the lessons I like to have a friendly relationship with my students so that they look forward to learning and feel accomplished when they've improved.
I'm a first year student studying Economics & Politics at LSE. Having actually undergone the new specification Edexcel GCSE and A-Level Maths syllabus, I am well aware of the changes to material that current students are having to learn. I achieved a level 9 at GCSE and have A-Level grades A*AA in Politics, Economics and Maths. References available on request.
