About Ben
I’m a young tennis coach with lots of experience working with both kids and adults, especially those who are just starting out or getting back into the game. I’ve played competitively at a high club level, and now also want to help others enjoy learning and improving in a relaxed, supportive environment. My experience: I have over 4 years of experience on the coaching end and have worked in multiple venues in Brighton. I currently also work for the Ten Project Tennis Initiative & Fred Perry Trust in primary schools across Brighton, inspiring children to get into tennis. My experience includes working with SEND and homeschooled children, creating a tailored approach to support their learning. I also work with junior county players as a coach and tournament organiser across Sussex. I am about to finish my LTA Level 2 and have done Continuous Professional Development Courses surrounding helping women and girls get into tennis and exploring different drills for players. I also have a DBS + First Aid Certificate at work qualification.

Sessions are personalised and work around your goals. I focus on the relationship between technique and tactics, and how we can use them to find the sweet spot in your game! Technical training tends to revolve around racket swing, path and angle, footwork and balance, momentum of the body, and its positioning. When we examine tactics, this could include ball characteristics, placement and connection between shots - just to name a few! Perfect! Ben has been such a patient and dedicated coach during my sessions. He gives notes to improve on after each lesson and I can definitely feel an improvement on my strokes! I've received coaching previously through group sessions but it was with him where I was able to finally grasp redirecting the ball, as well as match tactics. I highly recommend him whatever level of tennis you currently are!

Ben is a great coach, he’s been teaching me weekly for a couple of months and he’s already got me up to local league standards. He knows everything that could possibly help your game, and just generally a great guy all round!
Ben is such a passionate and enthusiastic teacher! He is very knowledgeable as well as patient, and has greatly helped me develop my tennis skills; I highly recommend him for students of all abilities.
Ben is actually brilliant. He is amazingly polite and is always so nice when I ask him questions or do something the wrong way. He is also very friendly and educated in what he is doing. Although he is a young, he's definitely better than some other tennis coaches I have had before. If you're thinking about going into tennis or developing skills, I'd recommend Ben all the way!!!!
I’ve been working alongside Ben as a coach for over two years now, and I can honestly say he’s one of the most dedicated people I’ve met. He really knows his stuff and puts everything into helping you improve as a player. His friendly, approachable style makes sessions enjoyable while still pushing you to get better. Couldn’t recommend anyone more highly.
Ben has taught both of my children and I would absolutely recommend him. They love going to tennis lessons and we can now play as a family every week!
