Hi! I’m Lisa — a native Mandarin speaker from Shanghai, currently studying a double major in Philosophy and Media at the University of Melbourne. My academic background trains me to communicate clearly, think logically and explain complex ideas in simple, accessible ways. I’m patient, organized and genuinely enjoy helping people learn. I’ve worked as a teaching assistant in China, so I know how to guide beginners without pressure or awkwardness. My Mandarin lessons focus on clear, logical explanations, practical conversation and confident speaking. I usually teach 1-hour sessions. As a former teaching assistant, I’m experienced in helping beginners build confidence, correct pronunciation and use natural expressions.
I teach beginners to intermediate learners, with lessons that are friendly, structured and pressure-free. I enjoy breaking down grammar and pronunciation in a simple, understandable way so you can speak naturally at your own pace.
