About the lesson

I work alongside the parents and the child to identify their unique learning style and tailor the lessons to suit their natural learning abilities. We work together to set targets and monitor progress with regular 'check-ins' to help assist with their progression -I am happy to collaborate with school teachers and school reports with target setting. I offer two main approaches: teach to learn and teach for exams. If students are required to learn the skills and content to be successful leading up to a particular exam, they would be better suited to the teach for exams approach. Alternatively I offer teach to learn where we explore the national curriculum of the chosen subject and deepen their knowledge and skills for a solid understanding of the subject. I also use my life experiences within marine biology to bring hands on activities /engagement to lessons.
