About Carmen
Hi, I’m Carmen — and I believe marketing should never be boring!
With more than 10 years of hands-on experience in marketing, a degree in Marketing and an Honours qualification, I bring real-world experience into my tutoring. Branding is my passion, but my experience spans marketing strategy, digital marketing, content, social media and the ever-changing world of modern marketing.
I also come from a family of teachers, so sharing knowledge and helping others learn has always been close to my heart. I’m a lifelong learner myself, and I believe that great teaching is about creating an environment where you feel comfortable asking questions, exploring ideas and even getting things wrong — because that’s often where the best learning happens.
I’m approachable, patient and a little bit of an out-of-the-box thinker. I have previously tutored university students and understand that everyone learns differently. My lessons are tailored to the individual, with a focus on making complex concepts easy to understand and connecting theory to real-world examples.
Marketing never stands still. What worked five years ago may not work today, and what works today could look completely different tomorrow. That’s why I want to help you develop more than just textbook knowledge — I want to help you understand how to think like a marketer, adapt to change and apply what you learn in the real world.
Whether you’re preparing for an exam, working on an assignment, struggling with a concept or simply want to build your confidence, I’m here to help.

My approach to tutoring is practical, personalised and focused on making marketing easier to understand. With 10+ years of hands-on marketing experience, I bring real-world knowledge into every lesson, rather than relying solely on textbook theory. Branding is my speciality, but I also cover marketing strategy, digital marketing, social media, content and how marketing is applied in today’s constantly changing landscape.
Every lesson is tailored to the student’s individual needs, whether they need help understanding a specific concept, preparing for an exam, working through an assignment or simply building their confidence in the subject. I believe in explaining the “why” behind marketing, using real-world examples and encouraging students to think critically and creatively rather than simply memorising information.
A typical lesson is relaxed, interactive and student-led. We’ll identify what you’re struggling with, break it down into manageable sections, work through practical examples and make sure you understand the concept before moving on. I’m hands-on, approachable and happy to explain something in different ways until it clicks.
I teach in English and my lessons are aimed primarily at high school and tertiary students studying marketing, branding, business or related subjects, as well as students who need additional support with assignments, projects, presentations or exam preparation.
My goal is simple: to help you understand marketing, not just memorise it.
