About Atlas
I am a second year university student and an avid reader and aspiring author. I go by Atlas. You can just call me Atlas because I've never really cared for the honorifics. Plus I'm probably too young for them. I'm 18 (going on 19) and therefore I have the added bonus of being basically-a-kid. You can be super comfy around me. Honestly you can even swear (I live for the drama, and besides, sometimes the choices of the main characters in Shakespeare do make you want to swear). I've been crazy good at English my whole high school life (like I scored actual 100s) which was not that long ago so I have all my little techniques fresh in my memory and I'm here to teach you too!

I find that actually being interested in a story is the best way to score more. So, even though all stories might not appeal to all people, I want to steer clear of reference books as much as possible (aside from, of course, for the 10th and 12th graders, where certain keywords happen to fetch more marks). We will start with the text and try to enjoy it as much as we can. I encourage class discussions greatly. Afterwards, we shall focus on essay type questions (unless the exam doesn't call for it), since usually if you can do those you can do pretty much anything. I also aim to have small tests at least once a month, just to keep everything fresh in one's memory. For language, I follow the philosophy of practice makes perfect. If a student shows a particular interest in any of the prescribed texts for literature, I may recommend them some extra reading from the same author, since I find reading is the best tool for improving your grammar and your writing. This is particularly helpful if your examination has a composition or letter writing section. Again, regular tests are in order. If you are a high-schooler, you might have tests more than once a month, mostly because a lot of times practice is the only thing you can really do with grammar. I do also encourage class discussions here too. If, for example, you have been assigned a composition topic you can't quite find an idea for,I'll be happy to walk you through your thought process.
This was a long read but I hope it's convincing. Just want to share my love for the English language with people. The marks, you shall see, will follow on their own.
