- What kind of experience do you have? I am the director of The Hap'ning Place and teach private voice. I sing professionally in Europe and America and have been teaching voice for several years in London, Vienna and the USA. - Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate? Yes. - Do you belong to any professional organisations? Incorporated Society of Musicians, Equity, MuPhi, Musicians Union, National Association of Teachers of Singing.

Free the Music Within You! Encouraging, fun and challenging lessons with us at The Hap'ning Place help you to find your musical voice. - Which subject(s) do you teach? We teach Singing, Piano, Guitar and Violin - Tell me about your qualifications. BA and Masters in Music in Performance and Music History. - How much do you charge? Lesson fees vary according to the instrument. For those who would prefer to work in a group, there are different choirs: The Chorettes, a close harmony group with no audition, that meets throughout the year, Sparklers, a mixed group that sings songs from Musicals, The MadriGals, a small group of singers with good sight reading abilities and The Hap'ning Place Choir. The fees for these can be as low as £8 per rehearsal. - Where do you teach? Lessons are available at my two studios in London. Crouch End/Hornsey/ N8 and Central London/Mayfair six days a week. - When are you available? Lesson times are available Monday to Saturday day times and evenings until 9pm. - Which ages and levels do you teach? All ages and levels of ability. We are able to prepare students to Diploma level in the Music Examinations, but we also have students who are enjoying making music as an activity without any particular goal in mind. We have students doing everything from RnB and Soul to opera! - Which qualifications do you prepare your students for? We have a 100% success rate preparing our students through to the diploma level in the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, Trinity, London College of Music and Rock Skool examinations. We also coach singers preparing for West End auditions, University placement auditions, orchestra auditions, etc.

I find the lessons extremely uplifting and fun, and my range and breath control have improved considerably.
The Hap'ning Place has a great way of developing your confidence: from one-to-one lessons through group work and on to trying out your solo voice in the supportive mini studio recitals.
My voice has really developed, and she manages to explain things like posture, breathing and voice production in a witty and easy-to-follow way. She is great!
