About Rei
I have a Bachelor of Science degree double majoring in Psychology and Economics and a Master of Education degree in Student Development. I have a passion for international education and a love for helping those who pursue their education internationally to learn the English language and help them develop their language skills as well as their knowledge and awareness for the Canadian culture. I have extensive amount of teaching experience with students from all age groups. The youngest student I have taught was in their 5th grade, and the oldest student was of similar age as my parents!

My teaching approach is first and foremost student-centered. I believe that each student grows at their own pace and usually has very unique interest that can be the content of their classes. For example, I incorporate a lot of different topics in my classes such as culture, music, travel, sports, depending what interests the students the most. In additional, I like to include multiple mediums such as videos and images in presenting the course contents to accommodate different learning styles.
I believe that learning a language is also learning the culture behind it, so one big thing in my teaching is to also help students understand the Canadian culture while learning the language. This way, they will have a much better grasp on how to speak the language more natively.
