About Calla
I am an experienced English tutor with over 4 years of teaching and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Creative Writing, specializing in Applied Linguistics. My main focus is on English for Academic Purposes (EAP), helping students succeed in their higher education journey. I work closely with university students and international learners to improve their academic writing, listening, and reading skills. I guide students through writing clear and effective research papers, teaching essential skills like referencing, note-taking, and structuring strong arguments. Understanding lectures and academic vocabulary is also a key part of my lessons. I tailor my teaching to each student’s needs, ensuring they build confidence in all areas of academic English. With years of experience, I understand the challenges of studying in a second language. My goal is to make academic English accessible and manageable.
