About Rumela
Hello! I am a passionate classical dancer with 18 years of experience in Kathak and Bharatanatyam, specializing in technique, expressions (abhinaya), rhythm, posture, and stage performance.
I began my journey in Kathak under the guidance of Guru Sangita Chaki and further continued my training with Guru Rani Khanam, a distinguished disciple of Pandit Birju Maharaj.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of learning and refining my art under the mentorship of renowned gurus and maestros including Vidushi Saswati Sen, Guru Luna Poddar, Vidushi Mamata Maharaj Ji, and Guru Molly Roy.
I have successfully qualified examinations conducted by Prayag Sangeet Samiti and have been awarded the prestigious Ratna certification in Kathak from Sarva Bharatiya Sangeet Parishad.
With 18 years of dedicated training and experience in Indian classical dance, I aim to share the beauty, discipline, grace, and rich cultural heritage of Kathak and Bharatanatyam through professional and inspiring teaching.
