About Svetla
I'm an experienced graphic designe generalist and conceptualist, aa well aa very skilled graphic designer and tutor that loves to help creative minds of all age and level to develop their graphic design skills and Adobe applications competences. I’ve been working in the creative industry for over 2 decades now. I’m a Master in Media Design and I love and have done it all in tfw field. Years ago I started my education with Philology – lots of reading and writing in other words, as well as, lots of anthropology, mythology, philosophy, communication, aesthetics, story-telling and creative thinking. Later I moved to computers and computer arts and I got my Graphic design professional qualification. As a professional I’ve had the luck to travel a lot and work as a designer in several countries which has given me a wider perspective of the industry and an opened mind for the world in general. In one way or another, I’ve been always teaching throughout my career. Whether it has been interns within some government funded programmes when I worked as a chief designer or later my own students within Svetla Graphics Design School. I like helping others get better in what they like doing and supporting them in gaining the confidence they need. Whether you want to study Graphic design as a profession or as a hobby, I’ll walk you through it. I truly believe that it's never too late or too early to learn something new, so no matter your age or starting competence, you can be a designer. I believe in the lifelong learning so I'm myself always busy with some extra course or class and a continuous improvement.

I strive to teach my students through their own experience. My lessons are based on the Learning by doing methodology. Graphic Design suggests a lot of practice but my lessons include a piece of solid background knowledge in order to provide my students with the ability to practice with confidence. I'm trying to answer not only the 'how' questions but also the 'whats' and 'whys'. My main programme includes - Adobe Photoshop - Adobe Illustrator - Adobe InDesign - Branding and visual identity - Logo design - Book design - Magazine design - Design for the social media - Typography in graphic design - Grid system - Colour theory - Composition and layout - Graphic design principles - Visual communication strategies - Prepress and publishing know-how - Creative thinking - Human(user)-centred design - Infographics - Animation, motion graphics and video editing fundamentals - Photography fundamentals and much more.

Perfect! Svetla is a very experienced trainer and graphic designer with the Adobe suite. She is very enthusiastic getting behind your ideas and helpful training you to make them happen. Adobe is quite complex but Svetla makes it as achievable as it can be.

Perfect! Svetla is a really great teacher! She is not only hugely expert in her knowledge on Photoshop (painstakingly taking me through all the menu and functions), she emits enthusiasm for the subject and really motivates the student (even for a newbie like me).
The teaching exercises she plans are also very helpful.

I love Svetla’s classes. She inspires me all the time. I started taking Graphic Design lessons just for pleasure but Svetla’s support and engagement made me think of more serious professional realization as a graphic designer. I also started painting and made my own creative stuff. Svetla is really an effective teacher, her lessons are very interesting experience. There’s always something new to learn from her. She is the best teacher I have ever had.
I started taking Photoshop and Illustrator lessons with Svetla over two years ago and it’s one of the best things I have ever done for myself and my skillset. As a person who had always wanted to use graphics as a means for creative expression but had 0 knowledge how to go about that, Svetla gave me all the necessary knowledge and skills to grow creatively. Svetla has over a decade of experience with Adobe Creative Software, both academic and working as a graphic designer, and her teaching method is extremely thorough and engaging. One of the best things about her teaching approach is that apart from having created a highly comprehensive step-by-step program with lessons and exercises, she is also flexible with helping with personal projects, both in the creative process and also by giving constructive feedback. I am very grateful for her ongoing support and dedication with my graphic design journey.
Svetla is an extremely skillful graphic designer and dedicated professionalist when it comes to her students. She has been always making sure that both the theoretical and practical classes are interesting, engaging and last but not least meaningful. I highly recommend her online classes. I have been taking classes for 1.5 year already and I can firmly state that I have learned really a lot from her.
