As a bilingual writer and multi-lingual speaker with mandarine as my mother tongue, I deeply understand how a linguistic transition plays in a receiver's mind. From a personal perspective, mastering a language is not an overnight transformation, but rather a gradually growing process. A balanced development in listening, speaking, reading and writing is essential, and the cultural cognition of Chinese engrained throughout the language learning should not be ignored.
Numerous experiences of volunteer work kept me extremely patient, engaging and encouraging; creative writing made me someone that always seeks for innovation; more than 15 years of academic education sharpened my critical thinking skills.
However, I'm not pedant as you may imagine. I play the drums and was in a rock band for two years; I love singing and am on the worship team, and sometimes write songs; baking and cooking is also part of my life; sports like jogging, table tennis, basketball, swimming are all on my favorite list XD
My previous experiences in Chinese teaching has shaped my dream profession as a Chinese teacher. The foreign students I taught passed the HSK exam with high marks and became my good friends afterwards. And the joy brought by the creativity and vigour of younger generation when I volunteered to teach English in a local primary school drew me to an education career.
You'll find more about my internships in my CV :)
