About David
In the last two years I have taught in various subjects to economics students at the UvA. In addition, often fellow students helped to pass their exams. Because I studied both economics and philosophy, I can not only understand the material well, but also translate the material well.

As a student, I myself have experienced that it can be difficult to understand the material properly. The subject matter can not always appeal to the imagination in a classroom where lecturers have to distribute their attention to many pupils. To speak to the imagination is central to the learning process. In order to ensure that material is understandable, but also lingers, I take two steps. The first step is to explain the (abstract) substance in simple words, using examples from everyday life. The second step is practicing with this substance. By having the pupils make assignments in their own time, the material stays there for a long time.
