About Laurie
Hi, I’m Laurie a passionate roller skater and experienced roller hockey player with over 15 years of experience in the sport. I’ve had the privilege of playing roller hockey at a semi-professional level, even representing Team GB, which has given me a deep understanding of the skills, techniques, and discipline needed to succeed. My goal is to share my love for skating and help others build their confidence, improve their skills, and achieve their goals on wheels. Teaching gives me the opportunity to inspire and support skaters of all levels, whether you’re just starting out or looking to take your abilities to the next level. Let’s roll together and make every session fun, rewarding, and empowering!

About the Lessons
I shape each lesson around your goals and experience level. My focus is always on making you feel safe, balanced, and confident. We’ll start with the basics like stopping and turning, then move on to more advanced skills or even fun tricks if you’re ready.
Here’s what you can expect:
-A warm-up to get moving safely
-Easy-to-follow steps and practice time
-Helpful tips and encouragement along the way
-A cool-down to finish the session
Lessons are usually 60 minutes long. For younger children or beginners, we can do shorter sessions (30–45 minutes) to keep things fun and focused.
Whether you're a total beginner or looking to take your skating to the next level, I’ll tailor the lessons to suit you. Let’s build your skills and confidence, one skate at a time!
Safety is always a top priority in every lesson. While I take great care to provide a safe and supportive learning environment, participating in roller skating lessons is at your own risk. Please make sure to wear appropriate safety gear (helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, wrist guards), and let me know about any injuries or health conditions before we begin.
By joining a session, you acknowledge that skating involves physical activity and some risk of injury, and you agree to take personal responsibility for your safety during the lesson.
