About Harper
Teaching violin has been a rewarding journey throughout my 9 years of experience. I enjoy helping children and adult students build confidence through supportive lessons that make learning enjoyable while developing strong technical skills and a genuine appreciation for music.
My teaching philosophy focuses on patience, consistency, and practical learning. Students improve bowing techniques, finger placement, intonation, rhythm, sight reading, tone production, and musical expression through structured guidance, clear demonstrations, and regular hands-on practice.
Every learner has unique goals and learning styles, so I personalize every lesson to suit individual needs. Whether preparing for performances, examinations, or learning for personal enjoyment, I provide continuous encouragement, constructive feedback, and dedicated support to help students succeed.

My violin lessons are designed to help students develop strong fundamentals while enjoying every stage of learning. Each lesson includes guided demonstrations, practical exercises, and performance activities that improve confidence, coordination, and technical accuracy according to individual goals and learning ability.
Lessons cover posture, bow hold, bowing techniques, finger placement, intonation, shifting, vibrato, rhythm, sight reading, ear training, tone production, and music theory. Students improve through structured practice, carefully selected exercises, and musical pieces that build expressive playing and technical confidence.
Students receive detailed feedback, personalized home practice plans, and regular progress assessments after every lesson. Whether preparing for concerts, auditions, examinations, or learning for personal enjoyment, my lessons help students strengthen technique, perform confidently, and enjoy lasting musical development.
