About Isla
Over the past 7 years, I have helped Teenagers and College Students build confidence through structured violin instruction and practical musical experiences. Supporting learners as they achieve meaningful progress continues to make teaching both inspiring and professionally fulfilling.
My instruction develops posture, bow technique, rhythmic precision, intonation accuracy, expressive phrasing, notation reading, and performance readiness. Students receive patient guidance that transforms technical challenges into achievable and enjoyable learning experiences.
Individual learning plans are designed around personal goals, strengths, and musical interests. Ongoing encouragement, structured practice, and continuous progress reviews help students perform confidently while developing lasting violin skills and musical appreciation.

Instruction follows a structured progression where technical skills develop through demonstrations, guided repetition, and performance-based learning. Students gain confidence by mastering fundamental concepts before advancing toward more expressive and technically demanding violin repertoire.
Lessons include posture alignment, bow precision, finger coordination, intonation practice, scales, shifting, vibrato preparation, rhythm training, sight reading, tone refinement, and musical interpretation. Practical activities strengthen coordination while improving performance accuracy and confidence.
Constructive evaluations, customized practice goals, and detailed coaching encourage improvement beyond every lesson. Personalized exercises reinforce essential techniques, helping students refine musicianship, overcome technical challenges, and achieve rewarding progress through consistent practice.
