I am retired from a career with the Probation Service. In addition to my professional qualification I have spent most of my life studying, at graduate and post-graduate levels, Psychology, Forensic Psychology, Criminology and Philosophy. I have a passion for knowledge and would like to pass this on to students that I tutor. I have qualifications and experience in counselling and I would say that my style teaching style is motivational. In addition to assisiting students to understand the principles and concepts of their subjects, I would aim to develop their research skills, critical thinking and essay writing skills to equip them to progress in their studies and achieve their grades.
I have many years experience as a professional trainer and mentor. In addition, I have privately tutored a small number of students in High school who were struggling to pass their exams. I assisted them to achieve success in course work and examinations by focussing on essay writing skills and revision strategies.I have also coached students at GCE A level and University to understand the concepts of Ethics, Criminology, Psychology and Philosophy.
